Apprenticeship
Welcome to the Apprenticeship
Through our Apprenticeship program, we provide fresh creatives with education and mentorship from active industry professionals. They work with real projects for real clients who are cause-driven and want work that represents and includes us all. Then our Apprentices use that real, resume-ready experience to launch big-time careers in marketing and advertising.

12-24 Months – It may seem long, but it goes by quickly. Especially with our 4-day work weeks.
Pays $20+/hr – In real, actual dollars. Plus built-in raises and promotions.
For Creatives – Graphic designers, UX/UI designers, copywriters, strategists, project coordinators, and account coordinators.
Prerequisites – As the collective evolves, we incorporate the ideas of each person and each team. You won’t be sitting on the sidelines here.
There was a time when all trades were learned by apprenticing with a local expert. Learning by doing. BT Foundry is bringing that back.
No two apprentice classes are alike, as the work and clients are fluid. You’ll learn to be agile and adaptable while working with a team to support an ever-changing mix of clients and projects – just like real agency life.
You’ll work with a team lead, your Miagi-esque mentor, who acts as the guide for your role. Your team will be made up of Apprentices working collaboratively, not competitively. You’ll present your own work and interface with the clients directly to build your presentation skills and quick thinking. You’ll also build your portfolio with real client work and experience – real projects you can point to and say I created that.
Applications open May 1st. Schedule an advisory session or sign up for updates below!
As a candidate, you’ll need:
- Experience or background in design, writing, strategy, UI/UX, client relations, or project management. This can be from college, trade school, or self-training. You DON’T need to have completed a degree or certification program to be considered.
- A portfolio we can review to assess what stage you are at and the type of work you’ll be able to do.
- To be available for the full length of the program. At a minimum, that’s three days/week (roughly 24 work hours).
Don’t take these as all or nothing. If you have any doubts or questions, reach out to schedule a call with the BT Foundry team. Take a quick quiz to see where your strengths and weaknesses are. Or dive in and apply.
We’re here to help.
