What We Do
Like many great ideas, we are the answer to a problem.
We serve a lot of people in many different ways, but it started with the biggest problems facing new creatives, nonprofits, startups, and small businesses.
Apprentices' Problems
High school grads, college grads, or anyone entering the field of advertising and marketing is likely to face a catch 22: needing experience to get a job that pays a living wage, while also needing a job to get that experience.
They may also have to commit to a specialized role within an agency before they have a chance to explore others.
Clients' Problems
Women and people of color are at an immediate disadvantage when it comes to the advertising and marketing industry, and the same struggles exist for minority small-business owners, entrepreneurs, and nonprofits.
Without the budget for professional branding and digital assets, they must often resort to in-house and low-quality work, making it that much harder to get their message out.
Together, they provide each other’s solution.
For Apprentices:
Experience with real clients
Portfolio-ready work samples
A taste of agency life
Training and hands-on guidance
Exposure to different creative skills while discovering your particular passion
Building the soft skills necessary for success
For Clients:
High-quality creative work that matches their budget
Fresh creative energy from fledgling talent
Dedicated professionals at the helm
The chance to hire Apprentices for their personal teams
Ongoing connection and support
We accomplish this by collaborating with our sister organization, Brass Tacks Collective, and clients with limited budgets or resources.
Simply put, Paid Apprenticeship + Clients with Limited Budgets + Professional Oversight and Training = High-Quality Creative Work.
